The WashU Entertainment Network is for all alumni, parents, and students interested in all areas of the
entertainment industry.
Network Goals
• Utilize the networks of our alumni and parent population, campus partners, career center, and schools
• Build relationships within industry companies
• Mentor students and alumni
• Expand opportunities for internships and employment for current students and young alumni
• Offer professional development opportunities
• Highlight alumni and parent businesses/ventures and recognize leaders in the industry

Networks Events |
The WashU Entertainment Network hosts career networking and professional development events during which alumni and parents can make new connections and explore career interests. The WashU Entertainment Network is currently offering events in Los Angeles and New York City.
Fireside Chat with WashU parent Clarissa Weirick on Entertainment Law— July 20, 2020
The WashU Entertainment Network and the Alumni Association hosted a virtual event on July 20. Clarissa Weirick, WashU parent and retired General Counsel of the NBCUniversal Filmed Entertainment Group was interviewed by active HollyWU, the Los Angeles Entertainment Network, alumna volunteer Ellen Eichner, JD '15. Clarissa Weirick discussed her wealth of knowledge regarding marketing and distribution within entertainment law. She has been working in transitioning physical to digital distribution since 2001. Some of the first digital deals she worked on as an entertainment lawyer were with Apple, Amazon and Netflix while at Warner Bros.

Volunteers are vital to the success of the Entertainment Network. There are many ways in which you can share your knowledge and experience with others—and help support alumni, current students, and the WashU community.
The network is seeking volunteers for the following roles:
- Plan and/or host network events
- Provide career support to students and young alumni by offering internships, assisting with mock interviews and resume review, and serving as a mentor
- Share expertise and advice by speaking at an event
