Washington University Clubs were created to establish and maintain a meaningful connection among alumni, parents and friends of Washington University through social, cultural and educational events. The university has 28 clubs throughout the United States and does not require membership dues. Club programs are planned to appeal to the interest and needs of the majority of the area members. These Washington University events highlight elements of the university’s culture by featuring professors or alumni who share their expertise.
Volunteers play an important role in Washington University Clubs and serve as regional ambassadors. Volunteers work closely with the Alumni Relations staff to plan the following events:

Alumni Sharing Knowledge

The ASK (Alumni Sharing Knowledge) program provides significant networking opportunities for the Washington University community. ASK events feature a panel of successful alumni or parents. They share their career progression, experience and expertise in their fields, and offer advice to fellow alumni interested in advancing in the industry or exploring career opportunities. The events begin and end with a networking reception, allowing alumni to exchange ideas and provide feedback.

Community Service Events

Washington University exemplifies the cultural values of education and the importance of contributing to society in a meaningful way. These events allow alumni to give back to their local community while sharing the experience with fellow alumni.

Classes Without Quizzes

Many of the nation’s top teachers and researchers are members of the Washington University faculty. These gifted individuals nurture in students a curiosity that not only animates their college years but stays with them all their lives.
To support the thriving spirit of inquiry among our alumni, the Alumni Association offers exciting opportunities to learn from faculty right in our graduates’ own backyards. Classes Without Quizzes -- now one of the most popular Washington University Club events -- brings leading Washington University faculty to cities across the country. Alumni and friends can attend lectures on a variety of stimulating topics. Visit the Event Calendar to find Classes Without Quizzes in your community!

Young Alumni Events

Many clubs have Young Alumni coordinators who plan events specifically designed for alumni who have recently graduated. Although Young Alumni are defined as being under the age of 35, alumni of all ages are welcome to attend young alumni events! Our signature young alumni event is the WUSTL WILD Welcome, which takes place annually each fall in 20 cities.

Local Cultural Events

Cultural events typically showcase the diverse culture of each region. Cultural events include private tours, traveling museum exhibitions, theater productions or performances, and architectural tours.
