How are my years of loyalty calculated?
Membership is based on household giving each fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
Do I need to give a certain amount every year to maintain membership in the Loyalty Society?
Gifts of any amount count toward Washington University Loyalty Society participation.
Who is eligible to join?
Washington University students and alumni, as well as current and former School of Medicine residents and fellows.
Do I need to designate my gift to the Annual Fund in order to qualify for membership?
You are not required to designate your gift to a specific area of the University. Both unrestricted (Annual Fund) and restricted gifts qualify you for membership in the Loyalty Society. You may direct your gift to the school, program, or scholarship of your choice.
Why does giving every year matter?
Annual gifts help meet the needs of every area of the University. These gifts are used across campus - from facility improvements to student leadership opportunities​ to scholarships. When you make a gift every year, you support the programs and initiatives that make Washington University an exceptional place to learn.
