“Everything began with the foundation I built at Olin."

A few years after graduating from Vanderbilt, Kirk Wrobley was ready to pursue an MBA.  “Going back to school full-time was a big investment, and I wanted a business school where I wouldn’t get lost in the crowd.  Olin Business School provided the perfect preparation for my career.  The rigorous preparation in finance, strategy and teamwork made me an attractive candidate.”

Kirk was recruited on campus and spent the next 10 years at Anheuser-Busch, ultimately directing strategic planning for Anheuser-Busch Packaging Group.  Eight years ago he joined Lockton Companies, LLC, the world’s largest privately owned, independent insurance brokerage firm.  He is a member of the senior leadership team in the St. Louis office, with responsibility for sales management and client relations.

“Everything began with the foundation I built at Olin.  I was active as a student and developed strong relationships with the faculty and staff.  After graduation it was a no-brainer to reinvest in the school.”

Kirk has supported the Annual Fund ever since graduation.  “The Annual Fund provides scholarships that help to attract top students.  That raises Olin’s stature, which helps to bring great talent to St. Louis and benefits all of our alumni.”

Kirk also volunteers his time with the Graduate Business Mentor Program, and he is the former chair of Olin’s Eliot Society Membership Committee.  Now president-elect of the Olin Alumni Board, he says “Working with Dean Gupta and other volunteers is a great experience that goes beyond fundraising.  The new facilities for graduate business education will elevate Olin to the next level.  It’s an exciting time to be part of it.”
