Reunion at Thurtene Carnival will be packed with events on campus and around St. Louis, but there are a few signature Reunion experiences you won’t want to miss, like the Welcome Back Party, the Alumni BBQ on the East End of Danforth Campus, and your Class of 2009 Party!

Class of 2009 Party

Have a night filled with laughs and good friends with the class of 2019 at your 15th reunion class party at Work and Leisure. This non-traditional event space, located in trendy Midtown, is a 5,000 sq. ft. venue that offers bocce ball and shuffleboard —along with a DJ booth—in an industrial-style space. Enjoy an open bar with delicious cocktails, gourmet food stations, and fun photo opportunities.

Friday Night Class After-Party

The Class of 2009 reunion committee invites 15th reunion celebrants to join classmates following Friday night’s Welcome Back Party at The Chase Club. Join for a night cap, to reconnect with friends, great conversation, or simply to extend the fun. Classmates will gather for an informal meet-up immediately following the Welcome Back Party. No need to register. Just attend. Cash bar.

Kate (Lincoff) Lewis, JD ’09, who practices family law in Denver, recently completed the Leadville 100 Mile endurance race and the Crested Butte 55. 

Jillian L. (Strominger) Schumacher, AB ’09, was named Outstanding Young Lawyer of Houston.

Fiona Turett, BS ’09,was selected as one of four flight directors for NASA.

“Wendy Kopp is an inspiring person who represents a role model for our students who themselves have the ability and creativity to make a positive difference in the world,” said Chancellor Mark Wrighton.

Dance all night
Seniors Emily Rubenstein and Jamie Hanley, members of the Delta Gamma sorority, lead the “morale dance” during the Dance Marathon. More than 700 dancers participated in the 12-hour annual event, helping to raise more than $131,100 for the Children’s Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis.

Three major gifts enhance new Danforth University Center
The William H. and Elizabeth Gray Danforth University Center opened its doors to the Washington University community. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of several donors, the new building features three premier spaces.
