Reunion at Thurtene Carnival will be packed with events on campus and around St. Louis, but there are a few signature Reunion experiences you won’t want to miss, like the Welcome Back Party, the Alumni BBQ on the East End of Danforth Campus, and your Class of 1999 Party!

Class of 1999 Party

Join the Class of 1999 at the Maryland House by Brennan’s located in historic Central West End. Through the years, Maryland House won numerous local awards, including Best Bar, Best Lounge, Best Place for A Nightcap, Best Place to Lose Yourself in Time, and more. Throughout the evening you’ll be able to share memories of your days spent at WashU with your classmates while enjoying dinner, drinks, music, and great conversation.

Friday Night Class After-Party

The Class of 1999 reunion committee invites 25th reunion celebrants to join classmates following Friday night’s Welcome Back Party at the CJ Mugg’s. Join for a night cap, to reconnect with friends, great conversation, or simply to extend the fun. Classmates will gather for an informal meet-up immediately following the Welcome Back Party. No need to register. Just attend. Cash bar.

Laurie Phillips, PMBA ’99, MSW ’09, in February, was named executive director at House Everyone STL, a nonprofit working to end homelessness in St. Louis.

Dennis Fish, AB ’99, joined the U.S. Mint in June as the chief equity officer.

Jennifer Zimmerman, MSW ’99, was promoted to vice president of evaluation and impact at bi3, Bethesda, Inc.’s grantmaking initiative to transform health in Greater Cincinnati.

William H. Danforth, who is stepping down as chair of the University’s Board of Trustees June 30, will deliver the annual address.

‘Malcolm X’ creator Spike Lee on campus
Filmmaker Spike Lee will deliver a lecture and commentary as part of the Assembly Series.

University wins prized HHMI grant
Jon Bernat, Jr., a senior in arts and sciences, is a Howard hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) fellow and has been conducting research at the university since the summer before his freshman year through the recently re-funded HHMI undergraduate grants program.
