Reunion at Thurtene Carnival

How do I register for Reunion?
You can register online until Tuesday, April 10 at 12 noon CDT. After Tuesday, April 10, you can register on-site at the Welcome Center, Cocktails with Classmates, the Alumni BBQ, or your Class Party.

Do I need to register in advance?
You are strongly encouraged to register in advance as many events sell out before Reunion. 

Will I receive a confirmation?
Yes! Approximately a week before Reunion, we will send you a confirmation email detailing the events for which you have registered.

How do I make changes to or cancel my Reunion event registration(s)?
Please call 800-867-2586 if you need to change your reservation or you are no longer able to attend Reunion weekend. We ask that all cancellations are made by March 30. 

May I bring my family?
Yes! In addition to many family-friendly events offered throughout the weekend, we have extensive programming for children of all ages through Bear Club. Bear Club is designed to allow alumni to enjoy their Friday and Saturday nights knowing that their children will be entertained and cared for by licensed and bonded temporary professional nannies from TLC for Kids assisted by Washington University staff and students. Bear Club is divided into five recommended tracks to ensure age-appropriate and engaging activities for all participants. Parents can also arrange for private childcare through TLC for Kids by calling 314-725-5660 or visiting their website. Register in advance through the Reunion website. You can also register by visiting the Welcome Center during Reunion weekend as well as on-site.

How will I be notified of program or weather-related changes during Reunion Weekend?
Program changes will be listed on the Reunion at Thurtene Carnival Events Schedule, via the Reunion Facebook page, and on the WashUEvents App Reunion at Thurtene Carnival Guide.

On-Campus Parking

Parking will be extremely limited on campus on Friday due to the East End construction and the opening of Thurtene Carnival. We encourage you to use public transportation or carpool. Beginning Friday after 5 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday, guests may park in any yellow spaces on campus.

Garage Parking
Gate arm technology has been installed in all campus garages (Danforth University Garage, Millbrook Garage and Snow Way Garage). In order to gain access, please pull a ticket upon entering. Please keep this ticket with you as you will need this ticket in order to exit the garage.

If you park in a campus garage before 5 p.m. on Friday, April 13, please park in any available visitor space. There are multiple visitor spaces in all of the garages and they are marked accordingly.  You will be charged for any time parked prior to 5 p.m. However, we will have validation tickets available at the Welcome Center and at Cocktails with Classmates for you to use upon exiting the garage. When leaving on Friday evening, please locate a pay station on the floor of the garage where you parked and follow the instructions at the pay station.  After you are done at the pay station, please use the initial ticket to exit the garage.  

If you park in any garage after 5 p.m. on Friday, all day on Saturday and Sunday, please park in any available yellow or visitor space.  You will not be charged to park in the garage but will need the ticket you pulled upon entering to exit the garage.  

Welcome Center 15-minute Parking
15-minute parking is available in the Alumni House parking lot. After visiting the Welcome Center, you will need to move your vehicle into another visitor space on Campus.

     Friday, April 13 | 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
     Saturday, April 14 | 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.*
*On-site registration only available from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Visit the Welcome Center to check in and receive your nametag along with necessary items for pre-registered events. Reunion staff are also available to process on-site registrations, provide general event details, as well as answer any questions you might have. Complimentary refreshments, phone charging stations, and a hospitality area will be available. 

Where else can I check in and pick up my nametag on campus?
Visit the Welcome Center to check in and receive your nametag along with necessary items for pre-registered events. You will also be able to check in and pick up your nametag at Cocktails with Classmates, the Alumni BBQ, and Class Parties.

15-Minute Parking
15 –minute parking is available in the Alumni House parking lot. After visiting the Welcome Center, you will need to move your vehicle into another visitor space on Campus. 

What attire should I plan to wear while at Reunion?
Casual attire and comfortable shoes are recommended for the majority of Reunion weekend events, including two of our Signature events, Cocktails with Classmates and the Alumni BBQ. Business casual attire is suggested for your Class Party.

Will photos be taken at Reunion?
Please note: Throughout Reunion weekend, photographers and videographers will take photos and videos that may be used in future Washington University print and digital publications and marketing materials.

Where can I stay during Reunion weekend?
There are many area hotels that we encourage our alumni to stay in, including The Chase Park Plaza, Clayton Plaza Hotel, Drury Inn & Suites Brentwood, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel. Visit our Hotel Accommodations page for more information.

How do I make changes to my hotel reservation?
Contact your hotel directly to change or cancel your reservations. Please refer to your hotel reservation for additional information on their cancellation policy.
