​Student Alumni Association

Act as liaisons between the Alumni Association and the student body. The Student Alumni Association is a student group focused on implementing special programming to increase student-alumni interaction and serving as student ambassadors at alumni events.

​Fall Festival

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Enjoy a day filled with football, food, and fun on campus with students, alumni, and friends. Come for brunch and stay to watch the WashU Bears take on the University of Chicago Maroons.

​Founders Day Student Address

2 - 3 p.m.

Attend a Q&A session with the Founders Day keynote speaker, Anderson Cooper. The Alumni Association hosts this exclusive event for students and provides a unique opportunity to interact with the keynote speaker.
 
Founders Day commemorates the university’s founding in 1853 and serves as an important occasion to reflect upon the university’s progress, as well as its history. Distinguished alumni and outstanding faculty are at honored at this event.

​Alumni Career Externship (ACE)
Program

March 12-16, 2018

Shadow an alumni professional during spring break. Externs will get an up-close sense of the types of skills, knowledge, and capabilities they will need to acquire or develop in order to be successful in a particular industry. Hosts include CEOs, CFOs, CDOs, partners, presidents, founders and others in upper-level management in the following fields: advertising, architecture, broadcasting, business, cyber security, entrepreneurship, film, finance, hospitality, human resources, investment banking, law, marketing, real estate and telecommunications. This program is co-sponsored by the Alumni Association and the Career Center.

​Reunion Interns

Assist Alumni Relations staff in planning Reunion at Thurtene Carnival (April 13 – 15, 2018) and Reunion at Commencement (May 17 – 19, 2018). Students learn about the many facets of event planning, management and execution. Our interns are vital to make sure our reunions run smoothly through preparation in the week leading up to each Reunion weekend and roles and responsibilities throughout each weekend. Applications will be available early spring. This is a paid position.

​University Ring

Be a part of the tradition and order your official university ring. The university ring represents the bond between students, the university, and our nation’s first President. Across the world, Washington University students and alumni wear this ring with pride.  A special ring ceremony is held in the spring. For more information and how to purchase your ring, click here.

​Senior Crossroads Transition Series

Learn tips to help you transition from student to alumni life through our “How to Adult” series. The Alumni Association works closely with the Senior Class Council to host this series of events in the spring semester of senior year. Past events have included the value of alumni networking, financial planning, and advice from favorite professors and administrators.
