Student Programs

ACE

Washington University Alumni and the Career Center offer a unique career-shadowing experience for full-time Washington University undergraduates. The Alumni Career Externship (ACE) Program is an opportunity to shadow an alum in his or her professional environment for two to three days during spring break. Externs get an up-close sense of the types of skills, knowledge and capabilities they will need to acquire or develop to be successful in a particular industry.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we will not be offering externships during Spring Break 2021. Stay tuned for other ways to connect with our alumni.

Reunion Internship

Reunion Internship

The Reunion Internship Program is an exciting program in which students work with Alumni Relations staff to carry out the dozens of events that take place over both of our Reunion Weekends - Reunion at Thurtene Carnival and Reunion at Commencement. Students learn about the many facets of event planning, management, and execution, while primarily helping the staff hold successful Reunion events. During both weekends, students have the opportunity to meet and talk with the many prominent alumni who return to celebrate their Reunions. This is a paid position.

Being a reunion intern is not only fun, but there are many benefits including:

  • Opportunity to network with alumni and staff
  • Work in a team-oriented environment
  • Leadership experience and increased knowledge of Washington University and Washington University Alumni
  • Meals provided during work shifts

Check back in January for application information.
