This application cycle was like no other! High school seniors experienced unprecedented changes in their educational and extracurricular opportunities, and the university changed its selection process as a result. Most significantly, Admissions made the submission of standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) optional for applicants. They also invited them to submit a 90-second video to allow the admissions staff to get to know them better.

Overall, applications ended up at more than 33,000, which is an increase of approximately 20% from last year. In response, our nearly 1,800 alumni volunteers (in 71 committees around the world) offered interviews to over 4,800 applicants!
