For more than 30 years, the Black Alumni Council has demonstrated support for the next generation of outstanding citizens and leaders through an endowed scholarship and student emergency fund.
Our mission and history
The mission of the Washington University Black Alumni Council is to support the professional and personal development of WashU Black alumni, to assist the university in the recruitment and retention of African-American students, and to enhance the continued growth and development of the university as an exemplary institution.

BAC Chapters Nationwide
Although the founding chapter is located in St. Louis, the Black Alumni Council has recently established chapters in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, San Francisco/Bay Area, and Washington D.C.

2023 Black Alumni Weekend
More than 300 alumni from seven decades celebrated the first university-wide Black Alumni Weekend October 13-15, 2023. They reconnected with the university community and explored St. Louis, all while celebrating the powerful legacy of Black students, faculty, staff, and alumni at WashU.
