For more than 20 years, Lisa Rosenkranz, BSBA ’82, worked in marketing and product development for diverse consumer goods and health-care companies ranging from Procter & Gamble to Tupperware to Baxter Healthcare. She earned her MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Rosenkranz now dedicates her time to various philanthropic efforts focused on Jewish and educational causes. She has served as a mentor with Chicago Scholars for the past 5 years. She also serves on the board of SketchPad, a startup co-working space, and is a founding member of the Chicago Giving Circle, a group of service-oriented families making meaningful contributions to Chicago-area nonprofits. In addition to her service as a member of the Alumni Board of Governors, Rosenkranz’s involvement at WashU includes her membership on the Chicago Regional Cabinet and co-chairing numerous reunions.
Her husband, Jeff, BSBA ’84, is a past chair of the Alumni Board of Governors. The couple’s son also is an alumnus, having earned his BSBA and master’s degrees from WashU.
Rosenkranz enjoys working with the university to pay forward to future students the personal and professional growth she experienced here. She joined the Alumni Board of Governors in 2017 and now serves as the chair. She also serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees.
Valerie Davisson, MA ’89

Valerie L. Davisson, MA ’89, currently works as an operating advisor to Orangewood Partners, where she provides consulting services in the area of human resources management. Throughout her career, Davisson has provided strategic management of human capital to several major corporations, including At Home, a leading retailer of home décor, Yum! Brands, Inc., which has over 50,000 restaurants in more than 150 countries and territories primarily operating the company’s restaurant brands – KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell, and Brinker International, which operates or franchises more than 1,600 restaurants in 29 countries and two territories under the names Chili’s® Grill & Bar and Maggiano’s Little Italy.
A career highlight for Davisson was watching At Home go public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2016. Under her leadership, the company was designated a 2017 Great Place to Work and grew to more than 200 stores in 40 states.
Davisson received her undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University and earned her Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Washington University’s University College while working full-time. She is a proud supporter of the college through her role on the University College Advisory Board and is actively engaged in other philanthropic work, including serving on the board of Elizabeth Toon Charities. In addition, Davisson is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the International Women’s Forum, dedicated to the empowerment of diverse female leaders.
Susan Warshaw, MSW ’79

Susan O. Warshaw, MSW ’79, is currently retired and volunteers her time to a variety of community organizations. She serves on the boards of Laumeier Sculpture Park, Temple Emanuel, and is a member of the Brown School National Council.
Warshaw began her career as a therapist for the St. Louis County Juvenile Court. She went on to become a supervisor for a post-master’s training program in family therapy at Provident Counseling. She later founded her own private practice and taught an adjunct course in family therapy at the Brown School. In addition to her master’s degree in social work from the Brown School, Warshaw also earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a doctorate in Marital and Family Therapy and Development from Saint Louis University.
Susan is married to WashU alumnus Henry Warshaw, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration. He is a former Chair of the Alumni Board of Governors and currently serves as a Trustee.
Dr. Warshaw is a 2017 recipient of the Brown School Distinguished Volunteer Award.
Jamie Kantor Fleischner, AB ’95

Jamie graduated from WashU in 1995 with a degree in psychology and business. Upon graduation, she started her company, Set for Life Insurance, and has grown to be one of the most productive agencies in the country specializing in disability and life insurance. Jamie has volunteered for WashU in many capacities including interviewing prospective students on the APAP committee and working on the Eliot Society committee. Jamie is married with two sons. Her oldest son, Josh, is attending WashU Class of 2025 and her younger son, Jack will be entering WashU as member of the Class of 2027. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and three Border Collies.
Darren Riley, AB ’94

Darren Riley is the founding partner of Riley Trade Law PLLC, a Washington, DC based law firm specializing in international trade and regulatory compliance matters. He services domestic and international clients in advanced technology sectors and sits on a U.S. government advisory board focused on U.S. export regulations. Darren graduated from Washington University with a degree in education. After graduating, he taught in the New York City Public School System and completed a masters degree at Columbia University, Teacher’s College. Darren then went on to obtain his law degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC and has been practicing law ever since. He stays involved in education by participating on the boards of multiple charter schools in Washington, DC. Darren also serves on the Washington-Baltimore Regional Cabinet and is the co-chair of the Washington-Baltimore Eliot Society Committee.

Mike Slavik is a Director and Team Leader for BMO Commercial Bank. His primary responsibilities include establishing and maintaining client relationships with targeted companies and facilitating their initiatives via BMO’s advisory and banking capabilities. He has dedicated his entire career to Commercial Banking in the Chicagoland area.
Mike is actively involved in the community. He is currently involved with the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce and has held roles as Founding Director of Humanitarians for Education and Recreation Outreach (“HERO”), Next Gen Board Member for the DuPage Children’s Museum and Member of the Emerging Leaders for the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
Mike has been active in the Washington University community in Chicago since he graduated. His current engagement includes Vice Chair of the Alumni Board of Governors, member of the Chicago Regional Cabinet, Chair of the Chicago Professionals Network and member of the W Club of Chicago.
Mike enjoys traveling and training for running races and triathlons. He lives in Hinsdale with his wife, Christina, and their sons, Jackson, Broderick and William.

Dean T. Yamamoto is the founder and managing member of Yamamoto Caliboso Hetherington, LLLC, a Hawaii based law firm focused on project development, project finance, energy, telecommunications, utilities regulation and real estate. He is considered a leading expert in the fields of energy regulation, energy project development and real estate. Dean has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America since 2016. Dean received his undergraduate degree in civil engineering in 1987 and his law degree in 1990 from WashU. Dean and his wife, Jodi, have three sons. Their middle son, Scott, is currently studying computer science and math at WashU and is on the WashU men’s tennis team. Dean is the chair of the Hawaii Eliot Society Committee and the Hawaii Regional Cabinet, and he is a member of WashU’s Student Affairs National Council. In his free time, Dean enjoys playing tennis and golf, and watching his three sons play tennis.
