Black Alumni Council volunteers help unite black alumni with each other while strengthening engagement with the university. No matter where you live, you can participate in and support Washington University’s Black Alumni Council—there are many ways to get involved!
Host a BAC reception in your city
One of the best ways to engage with the Black Alumni Council and the university is by joining a Black Alumni Council Regional Network. The Black Alumni Council’s founding network is in St. Louis, but we are expanding our outreach nationally. We are currently seeking energetic volunteers in Atlanta, Washington-Baltimore, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. If you’re interesting in starting a chapter in your city, contact Liz Williams-Johnson for more information.

Join a committee
If you live in a city with an active BAC chapter, consider joining (or starting) one of the committees listed below.

The Community Outreach Committee develops events to engage WashU Black alumni in programs which serve both Washington University as well as the local community. This committee may partner with the College Prep Program and the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement.
The Networking and Social Events Committee plans and organizes events and programs to strengthen the community of Washington University black alumni in your city or region.
