Alumni & Parents Admission Program (APAP)
What is APAP?
“I choose to be a part of APAP because I love sharing my positive WU experience with interested high school students. It also helps me stay connected to the school and other alumni.” — APAP Member and Committee Chair, Seattle, WA

What?
The Alumni and Parents Admission Program (APAP) is a group of dedicated Washington University alumni and parents who assist with the undergraduate admissions process. APAP members help the university recruit, interview, enroll, and welcome talented students from all over the world.
Who?
Alumni (undergraduate) volunteers assist the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by interviewing students who have applied to Washington University. Interview reports from members provide the Admissions Committee with important information about a student that may not be evident in his or her application.
In addition to interviewing prospective students, alumni APAP members may represent the university at
College Fairs in their communities, host and attend receptions for admitted and enrolling students, and help spread the word about WashU.
Parents of current Washington University students are in a special position to communicate undergraduate student experiences, as well as what can be gained from a Washington University education.
Parents represent WashU at
College Fairs, serve as greeters at
Interview Days, host and attend receptions for prospective and enrolling families, and contact parents of enrolling students to welcome them to WU.
