Reunion at Thurtene Carnival is packed with exciting events on campus and around St. Louis, but there are a few extra-special reunion experiences you don’t want to miss. These signature events include the Kickoff in the Quad, the Welcome Back Party and the Alumni BBQ on the east end of Danforth Campus, and – of course – your Class of 2020 Party! We’re eagerly working on a full schedule, so check back in early 2025 to read about all the receptions, tours, and events we have planned.

Class of 2020 Party

Reconnect with the Class of 2020 at the Majorette, an eclectic event space with endless levels of fun, and located just blocks from Maplewood’s thriving bar and restaurant scene. Explore the hidden basement game room, take in the party views from the mezzanine, and show off your moves on the dance floor! Enjoy an open bar, gourmet food stations, a DJ, and fun photo opportunities while sharing memories with old friends.

Kick off reunion weekend at the heart of the university — Brookings Quad! Whether celebrating commencement, dancing to a favorite band at WILD, or toasting to the end of senior year, generations of WashU students have created unforgettable memories at this epicenter of campus life. Grab a glass of bubbly and some light bites and reminisce with friends as you toast to new memories and the weekend ahead.

Welcome back party
Friday, april 4
6-9 p.m.

Kick off the weekend at the Welcome Back Party. If being back on WashU’s campus isn’t exciting enough, get ready for an evening event lit with glowing lights, a live band, and fun photo opportunities! Your classmates cannot wait to see you! Enjoy heavy appetizers, beer, wine, and soda while catching up with old friends.

11:30 A.M.-1:30 p.m.

Join classmates and their families at the new Tisch Park for a fun-filled afternoon of great BBQ catered by the award-winning Pappy’s Smokehouse. Complimentary beer, wine, and soda will be provided. Enjoy children’s activities and entertainment throughout the event.

Reminisce on your reunion weekend, bid “until we meet again” to your classmates, and enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat brunch.

Saturday Night After-Party

The Class of 2020 reunion committee invites 5th reunion celebrants to join classmates at Molly’s in Soulard following Saturday night’s Class Party. Join for a night cap, to reconnect with friends, great conversation, or simply to extend the fun. Classmates will gather for an informal meet-up immediately following the Class Party. No need to register. Just attend. Cash bar.

Noah Offenkrantz, AB ’20Ben Green, BSBA ’20Francis Serrano, AB ’20, along with other WashU graduates created Find Your Farmer in May 2020.

Asheley Ashittey, AB ’20, earned a Fulbright Scholar Award to pursue gender studies in Lesotho, South Africa. 

Margaret Hua, AB ’20, is a volunteer coordinator for St. Louis Food Angels, a local nonprofit organization led by students at the WashU medical school.

Nathan Card, AB ’20, is a U.S. park ranger at Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.

Washington University in St. Louis is welcoming alumni from the Class of 2020 back to campus for in-person Commencement ceremonies on May 30.

Class of 2020 moves in with ‘excellent vision’
The class of 2020 was chosen among a field of 29,200 applicants and represents the largest class in Washington University’s 163-year history. It is also the most diverse, with 231 students — 13 percent — eligible for Pell grants, and 123 who are the first in their families to attend college.
