This academic year, Washington University students will participate in a collegiate readership program that will explore former first lady Michelle Obama’s memoir, Becoming. In her memoir, Mrs. Obama revisits important moments that influenced the person she is today as she explores the theme of finding your voice and purpose.

The WashU Alumni Association will join this program as part of our Alumni and Parent Book Discussions, which foster dialogue, learning, and listening as the foundation of strong communities. Alumni and parents nationwide will host book discussions in 2022, and everyone is invited to join the conversation.

Books are available for purchase through various sellers in physical and digital formats.
